I have some gorgeous black virgin wool which has a very faint pinstripe through it. In fact, it isn’t really black. It is a very dark midnight blue. But it looks black in all the very brightest of lights.
Tonight I have carefully been taking the pins out of the pattern tissue and hand basted all the darts together. It should make sewing easier as the pins have a tendency to shift, or even worse, fall out.
As I’m making a lining to go with it, it feels like twice the work! Still, at least having made them once already things should be easier than the first time round.
